Snatz and the Cloudberry Quest
Snatz and the Cloudberry Quest
Once upon a time, in a sunny village at the edge of the Whispering Woods, lived a clever little bird named Snatz.
Snatz wasn’t like the other birds—he wore a tiny red scarf, loved shiny things, and spoke in chirpy rhymes when he was excited.
His best friend was a curious and kind-hearted girl named Marga.
She had a braid that bounced when she ran and always carried a sketchbook in her satchel.
One breezy morning, Snatz flapped down to Marga’s window.
“Caw-caw, Marga, guess what I saw?
A glowing bush, not too far!”
Marga giggled. “Another shiny thing, Snatz?”
“Nope! This is better. It’s a cloudberry bush, and it’s sparkling!”
Marga’s eyes lit up.
Cloudberries were rare, sweet fruits that only bloomed once a year.
And according to old village tales, if you found one glowing, it meant it had magical juice that granted wishes!
“Let’s go!” said Marga, grabbing her satchel.
Snatz led the way through the woods, swooping ahead and doubling back like a feathery guide.
But the forest was full of surprises.
First, they had to cross the Wiggly Creek, where the stepping stones danced when touched.
“Hold my wing!” said Snatz. “These rocks do a jig!”
With careful steps (and a few giggles), they made it across.
Then came the Whispering Trees, which tried to distract travelers with silly jokes and tickling branches.
“Don’t listen to the trees,” Snatz warned. “They're leafy pranksters!”
Marga laughed but stayed focused.
Finally, they reached a clearing where the bush stood, glowing like a lantern under the sun.
“It’s real,” whispered Marga.
Snatz fluttered near it, eyes wide. “Make a wish!” he chirped.
Marga closed her eyes. “I wish... we could always have adventures together.”
The bush sparkled brighter, and one glowing berry floated up.
It gently landed in Snatz’s beak, and poof!—a swirl of light danced around them.
Suddenly, a map appeared in Marga’s sketchbook—a map full of mysterious places to explore.
Snatz puffed up proudly. “Looks like the bush heard ya!”
And from that day on, Snatz and Marga became the best adventurers the village had ever known—
Always following the next sparkle, laugh, or rhyme... together.
The End
